Hon. Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Narayan Khadka attended the State Funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey today. Following the State Funeral, he attended the Reception hosted by the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom.
Yesterday, he attended the Lying-in-State of Her Majesty the Queen at Westminster Hall, signed the Official Condolence Book at Lancaster House and attended His Majesty the King’s Reception at Buckingham Palace. On the occasions, the Minister met with and had interactions with high dignitaries including some Members of the Royal Family, the British Prime Minister, former British Prime Ministers, British Foreign Secretary and other British Cabinet Ministers. Minister Dr Khadka had also brief conversations with visiting leaders and Ministers from the region and around the world.
He was accompanied by Ambassador H.E. Mr. Gyan Chandra Acharya and Joint Secretary Ms. Sewa Lamsal on these occasions. Hon. Foreign Minister is scheduled to leave London for Kathmandu tomorrow morning.
