Passports for Infants/Under 10 years


Separate passports for infants (under 10 years) (Processing time for application done by live enrollment: 5-7 weeks, application by post or manual form: 2-3 months)

    • The applicants above five years from the UK should visit the Embassy in person for live enrolment. They should fill the pre-enrolment form (click here)and visit the Embassy to provide biometric information.
    • The applicants from Ireland and Malta and infants below five years from the UK can provide two copies of the completed and printed application form (click here) by post.
    • An application specifying of its need from parents.
    • A photocopy of birth registration certificates (having parents’ name) and UK birth registration Certificate is valid only for first time application.
    • A photocopy of passport of the father AND mother of the child with visa copy.
    • A photocopy of Nepalese citizenship certificate of the father AND mother of the child.
    • A copy of marriage registration certificate.
    • Total 4 pp size photographs (borderless, white background, colour, size 35mm x 45mm).
    • Due to the Live MRP enrolment system, the applicant must visit the embassy (under 5 years children not mandatory) except for the special circumstances.
    • Card Payment (Visa Debit/Credit, Master Card Debit/Credit, All Maestro cards) is acceptable for the payment of passport fees (£55)
    • For the applicants making application from Ireland & Malta and the applicants below 5 years, making application by post from the UK, a Virtual Payment (Visa Debit/Credit, Master Card Debit/Credit, All Maestro cards) link will be sent to the applicant’s email once the application is received at the Embassy. Please do not enclose a postal order or a bank draft for the payment of passport fees now onwards.  
    • The applicants from the UK, sending application via post, can send a self addressed return envelope with the application.
    • The applicants from Ireland and Malta can request a courier company to pick up their renewed passport from the Embassy. Please be advised that a separate return envelope or 10 pounds should not be send to the Embassy now onwards. 
    • The MRP of Infants will be valid for 5 years only.

Replacement of Damaged, Torn or Lost Passport for under 10 years Children (Normal Processing Time: 5-7 weeks BUT the application from Ireland & Malta  or any other postal applications may take 2-3 months (special circumstances apply).

  • The applicants from the UK should visit the Embassy in person for live enrolment. They should fill the pre-enrolment form (click here) and visit the Embassy to provide biometric information.
  • The applicants from Ireland and Malta can provide two copies of the completed and printed application form (click here) by post.
  • Application stating reasons of lost or stolen, damage, or tear.
  • Photocopy of lost Passport and valid visa copy or photocopy.
  • A photocopy of birth registration certificates (having parents’ name) and UK birth registration Certificate is valid only for first time application.
  • A photocopy of passport of the father AND mother of the child with visa copy.
  • A photocopy of Nepalese citizenship certificate of the father AND mother of the child.
  • A copy of marriage registration certificate.
  • Total 4 pp size photographs (borderless, white background, colour, size 35mm x 45mm).
