On the auspicious occasion of the 18th Republic Day of Nepal, the Embassy of Nepal, London organized a reception in its premises this evening.
The program began with the playing of national anthems of Nepal and the United Kingdom. On the occasion, His Excellency Mr. Chandra Kumar Ghimire, Ambassador of Nepal to the United Kingdom, extended his best wishes to the participants as well as to the entire Nepali diaspora in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. While recalling the indelible sacrifices paid by martyrs and the significance of the historic day of the declaration of the republic country, Ambassador Ghimire called for everyone's contribution, to fulfilling Nepal’s agenda of economic prosperity. For the purpose, Mr. Ghimire also underscored the need and significance of enhancing solidarity among all Nepalis living abroad.
More than 120 guests including government officials, representatives of Nepal-based organizations in the UK, businesspersons, media persons, artists, among others, attended the reception.
